here once were two sisters. One made pots and the other did the
housework. One day the one girl who did the housework became very angry that she had
all the boring work to do while the other had the joy of making pots. Angirly she
smashed the pots of her sister.
he girl whose beautiful pots were smashed , ran away from home and wandered
into the wilderness for three days. On the third day she came to a lake, in the
center if which was a tree, but it was too far away and the lake water was cold and deep.
he tree moved nearer and nearer to the girl at the lake edge until at last
it was near enough for her to climb. When she was safely in its branches, the
tree moved out to the corner of the lake again.
fter a long search her parents came to the lakeside and saw her in the tree.
They called and called, but she would not come down. At last her lover
came, and it was he who persuaded her to return home and take up pot making again.
