HUMOUR
A Brother was walking down the street at 1:00 a.m. in the morning looking very drunk. A policeman stops him and asked, "Where are you going in that condition?" The Duval replied, "I'm on my way to a lecture on Freemasonry." To which the police officer responded, "Where can you possibly get a lecture on Freemasonry at this time of night?" The Brother's answer was: "From my wife, when I get home." (Recycled from of the Internet)
MEN'S HEALTH ISSUES
In last year, the Liguanea Lodge conducted, as the labour, for one of its meetings, a discussion on Men's Health Issues. This "symposium" by six prominent members of that Lodge, who are all leading medical doctors, included such topics as (a) "Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Men"; (b) "Stoppage of Water - Genital Urinary Problems in Men" (c) "Risk Factors in Coronary Heart Disease" (d) "Male Sexual Disorders" and (e) "Problems Facing the Mature and Elderly Male in Jamaica". The presentations were excellent and informative and well worth repeating for the benefit of brethren who might have missed it. The team comprised Bros. Drs. Leonard Miller, Winston De La Haye, Audley Betton, Hafeezul Mohammed, Douglas McDonald and Frank Knight sitting in for Charles Thesiger.

It was well supported by brethren of all the Constitutions.
PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE MEETING
At the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting in December 1997, changes in the administration included:
We wish the new PGL Administration a successful year in office. Should however the new Provincial Grand Treasurer wish to increase dues, we remind him that the happy Emerald Lodge No 899 can also be a quarrelsome Lodge. This is not because it has three vociferous Attorneys in Bros. McKoy, Beswick, and Dunkley, but because the ancestors, way back in 1806, yes 1806, were quarrelsome, and this has been carried henceforth in our Masonic genes. RW Bro. Cochrane, of Ireland, sent us an extract from the meeting of Masonic Lodge No 899, held 21 March 1806. "Resolved that we believe these innovations and the new chimerical, complex and oppressive system of finance, originated in the love of exclusive power, and in a desire to create emoluments to the now no longer necessary office of` DG Treasurer, and that we consider them the cause of the dissections which have lately convulsed the GL, which we cannot behold without the deepest sorrow."
" DUB IT IN IRELAND, BALL IT IN FRANCE"
The Grand Lodge meeting in Ireland is 4 June 1998. The World Cup in France is 12 June to 14 July 1998. Now that our Reggae Boyz have qualified for France, maybe we could attend the Grand Lodge meeting in Ireland, mate a small stop in England to see Aunt Enid and Uncle Gussie, take in a little of Italy and Germany, and be in France to see Jamaica's first round games. Interested? Talk to Derrick McKoy, Peter Stuart, John Edwards or Ainsley Mitchell.
