Treasures

        "Jewels. That is what people usually think of when the word treasures appears. What an imaginative range of pictures and colors that come with the word. One is only limited by the knowledge of gems.

        Isn't it different that money is not often thought of as a treasure though people yearn for it?

        Treasures need not be expensive or rare to qualify. Perhaps a child's toy is a treasure, or a snapshot of a loved one is a treasure, or a collection of things, or a specific rare item.

        Do we often think of people as treasures? Not often. We use all kinds of descriptions and react to them in many ways, but how often do we hear someone speaking of the individual as a treasure. Not often enough.

        There are many treasures. They come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Some are evident and some are not. It is the quieter one who keeps the treasure hidden.

        That treasure is God. God is within all."
