"Time again to continue on down the road to discovery. This is always a long road and an open road with many detours and avenues yet undiscovered. It is the length of the hard path that frightens those who can see ahead and also those who cannot see past their first footstep.
If we all had a companion by our side or a guide to point out the rocks to be avoided and the right paths, there would be many on the road. But the path is often a narrow road and there are few footsteps side by side.
Gathering strength for the daily tasks of life is a necessary plan for each day. This is done mentally and also physically. Breathing, of course, adds to the oxygenation of the system and allows for a better flow of energy. The mind needs to be cleaned or cleared. This is done by a small amount of quiet time without worry or strain or problem solving.
The walk should have a good pair of shoes involved. Shoes represent the covering of the feet or that which touches the earth. This covering changes but it must be comfortable and fit the skin. It's called Purpose. And hopefully, the right foot matches the purpose of the left one.
Standing and rocking back and forth from one foot to the other does not allow for much of a journey. The rocking may give a semblance of action, but this false movement does not fool the soul. A journey moves step by step. Some steps are large ones and some are small, almost baby like steps, wobbling and not providing a very strong foundation. But as the progression advances the strength is improved. Shoes wear out, and so, purpose must be re-established. It is difficult to give up a good fitting pair of old shoes, but eventually, new ones must be added.
Along the way, the mind and the eyes are constantly engaged. The eyes are seeing, looking, comparing, reviewing, analyzing, and storing information. The brain, the mind, the 'head' of the body is searching and learning and growing. Mind, body, and spirit must work together as a team. Mind cannot be in contrast to what the body will help and working together will help to solidify a progressive aim for improvement and growth.
The journey is exciting at times, and dull at times, treacherous, peaceful, full of light, and also full of darkness. To take this journey, one must use all abilities at one's disposal, and be willing to have the courage to move in a definite and purposeful way toward the inner goal of the spirit. Your guides and teachers are with you, surrounding you, but cannot walk your walk for you. It is a narrow rod and must be walked with the self.
Peace be your on your journey."
