Fantasy

        "In this season of goodwill, we indulge our imaginations and fantasies. We have our stories told to wide eyed children looking for reindeer in the sky. We all need imagination in our lives. We also need to fantasize, to dream, to create. As with other things, too much fantasizing can take us away from reality, but we do need to create our dreams with imagination.

        Perhaps you are too rooted in earth things. Perhaps the daily routines of life and the necessary things that must be done leave little room for any fantasy at all. With some, those roots go deep and they become stuck in a pattern, a way of thinking and a way of life. Constant dreaming removes one from reality, so there must be balance between no dreaming and too much fantasy. Still we can create a little magic which is a cousin to fantasy. Whether it be music, a story told, or a moment shared we can create a fantasy, a mood, an area, a situation. It is good to fantasize and try on new ideas and new concepts. What would happen if.... what if I should win ....what would I do if ....... springboards to new thinking. It is fantasy that sometimes directs us to different paths. A new thought becomes an idea dwelled upon which leads to new creations.

        We need fantasy to allow for play, to let the child within to be a child again. We can fantasize in an adult way to bring magic into our lives, to create special moments. So in this time of enchantment and lights and expressions of love and spiritual awareness, let us leave a little space for fantasy and let the magic of the season bring warmth to our hearts."
