As channeled by Marcia Wilson

To fly is to move. To fly is to go high though we say time flies by
and
who can say where it goes? Flight is more attainable now than in the
past in many ways due to inventions and technology. We send things to
the sky and float them where they can be seen or travel to distant
planets or earthbound destinations. Generally, we don't think much
about it unless, of course, something goes wrong while we are in the
air
or we hear of an accident involving loss of life or a close encounter.
For the most part, we are grounded though you see many persons who like
to live up high - those who work at scary heights or artists and
daredevils who ride through the air. For many, flight is a convenience
to move from one place to another.
The soul takes flight and does it quite often. It is not often a
conscious awareness, not even a movement or something that may be
noticed. It is a movement of the spirit, a lifting, something that
takes us up to a higher level. This flight can be one that is short or
it can be one that is done in graduated steps as if there was a
stairway
to the sky. We often take flight at night with travels to other
distant
lands and peoples. It seems dreamlike because of the dream process but
it is a flying trip that often brings answers and sometimes questions.
People seldom mention this - after all, it was just a dream, but if you
can begin to remember, there will be times when the lesson of the
flight
can be brought back to awareness. One way or another it stays with
you,
but as it is remembered it becomes vivid and more real in the three
dimensional sense.
What purpose is there in knowing this? To know is to learn, to learn
is
to grow in knowledge and hopefully in understanding. We fly with the
angels, but we know them not, but they are all around. Perhaps you
have
said 'I feel as if I've been on a long trip' when you awake, and in
fact, you have. What is the good of this if it is not remembered?
Actually, it is remembered but not at a conscious level. Some become
quite proficient at flying, of letting go of earthly cares for awhile,
and slipping into their angel wings and searching for knowledge and
sometimes adventure.
To use any skill, one must practice and with practice comes
proficiency. Awareness comes first, then intent, and just as a good
pilot watches for obstacles, so should those who journey with their
wings. Let your spirit wings lighten you for awhile and take you high,
for in the world of the symbolic sky are hidden treasures.
