Soul Return

      There are so many beliefs on earth, so many views, and so many variations that even within a group, no two are exactly the same. It is no wonder that so many wars have been fought over differing points of view. There are daily 'mini wars' in families and in work places where there are arguments over books, interpretations, and strongly held points of view. It has been discussed before and advisement has been given on listening and trying to understand the other person's viewpoint, but what is to be done when a person meets circumstances face to face that changes a belief system almost instantly? It seldom seems to happen except in a negative situation making someone hard and unyielding in awareness. Say to someone, 'you may have to change' and right away the defenses go up.

      When a soul returns to earth through choice, there is freedom of many paths to be chosen. Yet within the individual there are soul memories that sometimes lie dormant for almost a lifetime and sometimes cause conflict. It is not often that one hears an individual talk about not being sure of a belief or moving back and forth between ideas for it appears to some that that is a sign of weakness. Also, many people are comfortable in not questioning for it works for them as a type of security. For others, it is as if they are not being true or faithful and they see it as a type of betrayal.

      New circumstances bring new experiences. If these experiences are so new they do not have a reference point, then it is essential that each person remember to look within, to have the strength and the will to persevere until some understanding can be reached. We all have our light to shine and the more balanced we are in investigating and exploring, even in the midst of confusion, the brighter will be the light. We cannot retreat into fear when faced with something new. The soul is the strength of each individual, the guide, the teacher, and the light bearer. In the darkest of times, it still shines.
