We surround ourselves with illusions on a daily
basis. Actually, life
itself is an illusion, but that is a complicated
issue to address. It
is best to look at the illusions all around us
and how we are affected
by them. We know, of course, that in the
entertainment field we are
entertained with the use of illusions. The most
potent is that of the
actor or actress who projects an illlusion to
create an image. With
that talent and the use of physical illusions and
sounds, a scene or
scenario is created. The illusion is pieced
together by imagination and
the weaving of a story to create an overall
illusion. We become part of
the illusion we see and are temporarily removed
from our daily set
patterns. The illusion we see on screen we react
to and interact with
to varying degrees. It may be left when we leave
the movie or tv or it
may leave an impression on us that not only stays
with us but affects
our thoughts and feelings.
There are so many, many illusions we live by that
a list would be
endlessly long. We all have an overall set of
illusions ...a creation
... an agreement and we have our own individual
illusions. We create
our mental environment or set of pictures by the
illusion we have
created with our thoughts. When we act upon
these thoughts and accept
them as true, we then have created an illusion
which becomes truth....
at least truth to the individuals who created
them.
Our children become the inheritors of our truth,
our illusions, and it
is rare that there are parents who allow their
children room to perceive
a different aspect of the illusions they are
presented. Sometimes these
little spirits (little in body, not little in
spirit) have wonderful
insight that is just waiting to express itself,
but there is no
opening. Sometimes the insights come through and
if it is not part of
the 'norm', then it is dismissed. As a result,
other insights which
could have followed are not allowed to flow
freely. Listen to your
children. Listen to the little ones.
How do we distinguish illusion from truth? There
is no set way. One
person's truth is another person's illusion. So
we must find a core of
belief, a center from which truth can evolve.
That core, as you may
have guessed if you follow these posts, is
within. We each have
guidance. We each do not necessarily have to
believe as another or have
the same truths or illusions. What we do need to
do is filter the
illusions of belief through our inner core. Let
the thoughts dwell
within and think on them. Too quickly accepting
illusions or beliefs
can cause turmoil as it may not be compatible
with what your inner
guidance tells you.
There are many aspects of illusion that we could
speak on, but first
must come the realization that all is not as it
appears on the surface.
It takes not only insight but outer sight. Using
the outer sight to
examine and to look closely at living forms of
life shows many parts
that are not obvious at first sight....or even
second sight. The same
kind of examination can be used when dealing with
inner sight. Take
time to examine and take more than one look.
Illusions can make you ill. There is no intent
here to weaken the
wonders of imagination and the creativity of the
mind to bring forth
music, art, drama, literature and other
expressions of thought. The
mind is a creative tool that loves to explore.
Simply, just be aware of
the possibility that there may be illusions in
your life you are unaware
of because you've never taken the time to look
and examine. You might
be surprised to find that your beliefs have
changed. You may be
stronger in character than you think, you may
have more confidence and
skill than you think, you may be limiting
yourself by your illusion of
yourself. Search for the truth.
