To see is to focus one's vision on a particular
view or scene or
object. We do it many, many times, in many
different ways. Even those
who have no sight focus their attention as they
sense or view that which
they cannot see. We take this seeing for granted
for the most part. We
view it as something that is always there though
we're quite aware of
need for help in correction of minor eye
problems. What do we see when
we look? We take in so much information at a
glance that when we are
asked to recall, we have to stop and sort it out
and make a list.
Witnesses to crimes are often surprised at how
much information they
have when they are asked specific questions.

To see is to look, but as we look do we really
see? Is it all surface
or do we take in information that comes with the
looking? Granted there
can be too much information so that our sensing
filters out much of what
we take in, but we need to look at how we can
balance the looking.
Whether it is too much on one end of the looking
or too little, we need
to become more aware of that which we focus our
attention on. We can
look in a way that our seeing tells us when a
person is in need, when we
need to be aware of our surroundings, when we
need to look inwardly
instead of outwardly. There are so many
different ways of seeing. We
can see or sense with our minds, we can see with
understanding, we can
see with perception, and we can see with the two
eyes and the third
eye. The third eye is known to many, yet it is
not something that is
commonly known. It is located just above the
eyebrows in the middle of
the forehead. It is the most clear of the eyes
that one can have and
yet it must be developed to be used. It is
always there and for the
most part, always available. It is just that a
shift in perception must
be taken in order to have the vision that comes
from that eye. Close
your eyes and "look" up to that area, a nice safe
space. Become aware
of it but don't rush it. When things or views
appear, try not to figure
what they are or what they mean. Simply look at
them as if they are on
a screen. If you are serious about developing
this eye, make a list of
the things you see. With your notes, you may
find that it is like the
seeing that one uses when reading. Do this only
when you are relaxed
and have the patience to observe. To expect to
get instant results is
not being aware of the need for the skill to see
to develop. Make your
viewing short and your expectations that of quiet
looking. If there is
nothing at first, do not be discouraged but
continue to look at that
space when you are in a relaxed state of mind.
To see or not to see
....that is the question.
