Rain

Rain comes with driving force or with gentleness. It causes freshness or chaos if there is an overabundance. Without it, the land dries and nothing grows, yet we take it for granted. We take many things of nature for granted and it is only when it does not appear in its normal fashion that we become very aware of its absence. It can then become a matter of life and death.

Life is constantly changing, the earth is constantly changing, only spirit has a foundation of stableness. It is awareness and "seeing" that helps us see with more appreciation. When it rains, do you complain? When it floods, do you bemoan the fact that it ever began? Do you find yourself putting limits or expectations on nature's gifts? Imagine if all had their way with the weather .....what a conflict we would have at any one time.

Water from the heavens is a gift. Earth is a gift. Life is a gift. Treat them well.
