+"Message"
At times there are scenes on the stage of life that are burdensome. They burn into our mind and our eyes widen or cringe with horror. These scenes, so visually clear, place a lasting memory in our minds. We may see something locally or nationally or internationally, we may even see in our dreams or in our 'night walking'. To balance the spirit when there has been such an imprint is difficult to do because emotions can overwhelm us. It is not enough to try to stay positive, to proclaim a better day coming, we must deal with things in the present tense. Encircle yourself with what it takes to bring about a sense of calm, if only temporarily. Try to focus inwardly, as been said many times before. If the mind is too "jumbled" and there appears to be no chance at peace, then first approach it from a physical standpoint. "Busy" yourself with tasks that will divert your mind or engage your body in physical activity. When you have exhausted these means, try music as a comforter, soothing and healing. Focus on the music and try not to let your thoughts and/or feelings overwhelm you. Take small steps in this process and not as something that can be followed like first step, second step, etc. There is no timetable for comforting. At some point, try to see a larger picture, a picture that includes kindness or beauty or truth. Only when you can comfort yourself can you comfort others.
