Disasters have been with us throughout time. Eons ago there were many disasters that were never recorded yet once in awhile some evidence shows up. Remember that in those times there were no relief angencies to help out and people were torn apart physically, mentally, and emotionally. How did they survive? Some did not. Some struggled and weakened in resolve, but regained their will power and managed to make a life for themselves. When there are large numbers of life lost we mourn and we are saddened for the effect is not just on the immediate families but the community and the world. Nature cannot be tamed. She can be diverted and sometimes managed but when the power of the natural influences arise there is nothing that will stop it. Send love and prayers and help.
