Are you thinking of attending one of Arizona's colleges
or going out of state?
The first task for you to complete this week is to create your "College"
page on your web pages--be sure to link it from your Index or Home page, so
we can find it. All the links you need should be found on the College
Page. Minimum content on your College Page must include the following:
Links to 2 or 3 college web sites where you are considering
Links to other college resources (like financial aid and/or test preparation)
that you find most useful
Some graphics that illustrate your college choices
Your email address at the bottom of the page
Complete your other computer work--QUALITY email postings to the Rezlife
are what we are looking for.
Week 11
Complete step One of your research paper; namely, decide on your general
topic, which is to be on something in American literature, culture, and/or
history (including Native America of course!). Search through the following
pages to find your topic:
When you settle on a topic, post it AS A FOLLOW UP on the Class Bulletin
Board. First come, first serve.
Continue on to next step on Research Paper; namely to do reading on your
broad topic to be able to narrow your topic by the end of the week.
Complete your weekly computer assignments--continue working on your web
pages and posting high level email responses on the Rezlife list.
Week 12
Complete the next step of your research paper; namely, to narrow your topic.
When you settle on this narrowed topic, post it AS A FOLLOW UP on the Class
Bulletin Board.
Now you need to do additional reading on your narrowed topic, so continue
doing this. Also, go to Research
Writing and check out your sources there. I guarantee that you'll find
some items you never dreamed existed!
Complete brief Thoreau/Transcendentalism search. Everything you need will
be linked to the American
Transcendentalists page.
Be sure to keep up with regular weekly computer assignments with the Rezlife
mailing list and with your Web Site. Remember that you may be able to post
some of your research on your site.
Week 13
Get Priorities straight!!! Important for this class right now and for LIFE!
First priority is getting your research paper together! By now you have
selected your SPECIFIC FOCUS QUESTION (which you will turn into your Thesis
for your paper). Now is the time to do serious reading and notetaking that
will help you answer this question. Be sure to write down any Web Site addresses
you are using for reference.
Keep up with weekly computer assignments: Rezlife postings and Web Site
development. Some of you will want to include some of your research in your
web sites.
