INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

A number of students have been careless with the behavior documents I distributed on the first day of class, so I have decided to post them here for the convenience of those students:

Inappropriate Behavior Shall Cause this:

1st Offense: Name on the board.  Write this paragraph immediately:

"Thw ay I act in school shows everyone how I have been brought up. My behavior is a reflection of the manners my family has taught me. Therefore, I want to follow all school rules and behave properly, so that you and my classmates will know that I honor and respect my family, and value my family's faith in me."
2nd Offense: Check by name on the board.  Write the second paragraph immediately:
"Civility is important for all of us. Rules are made to help us all. I must try harder to remember that any time I break a rule, I am taking valuable educational time from my fellow students. I respect my firned; I want them to respect me. I can earn their respect by paying attention in class, by making relevant comments at appropriate times during discussion, by maintaining accurate information in my planner, and by helping others in a fair and honest way. In this way, I can be a positive force in my classroom and can improve learning for everyone."
3rd Offense: Second check by your name on the board.  Copy the entire page of the
Student Code of Conduct on the other side of this sheet, and bring it back tomorrow with
your parent's signature.  Conduct grade on Report card drops to N.

4th Offense: Third check by your name on the board. The student shall report to class for
detention on the next school day, promptly at 8:45am.

5th Offense: Referral

Failure to cooperate with any of these consequences shall result in parental
notification and an immediate jump to the next step in this plan.  Naturally, certain major
offenses, such as fighting, inappropriate language, and any other gross misconduct shall
result in an immediate referral.

SIDE TWO

Copy this completely on your own paper, and have it signed:
