GRADING 
    PARAGRAPHS
 
     I share your pain.  With class sizes continually increasing, is is very difficult for the Language Arts teacher to grade papers.  This is a simplified rubric that I use sometimes with the students in my class.  Naturally, we can't use this all the time, but it does allow us to make grades without detailed comment:
A -- The paper is good!
B -- Correct Form and Grammar; 
           some, but not enough Vivids (specific 
                   details)
C -- Correct Form; no Vivids; 
           fair Grammar
D -- Incorrect Form; some Vivids; 
            poor Grammar
F -- Incorrect Form; no Vivids; 
            or did not answer question
