I decided to create a couple of abbreviations to facilitate my grading of paragraphs that answer essay questions. Because of the large number of students in class, I shall have to limit notes to things you should correct, rather than commending correct work.  If I have no comments on a page, you may assume my comment is, "excellent!"

This is what the marks on your papers stand for:

TS weak or missing topic sentence

1 or 2 Number of  examples used out of  the three that 
                `was required

T  Titles incorrectly written or punctuated.

C conclusion weak or omitted

E  events from the story  left out

V vivid examples needed

Indent your paragraph.
