Some of them do contain sugar,
however I've found that you don't need
to be worried about it. Sugar is ritually
related to Venus and has a long magickal
history. However if it bothers you too much
simply replace it with some other ingredient.
Combine almonds, almond extract, flour,
Preheat the oven to 375*
Cut the butter into the oat flour and bran.
Crescent Cakes
1 cup finely ground almonds
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
3 drops almond extract
1/2 cup softened butter
1 egg yolk
and sugar until thoroughly mixed. Work in
butter and egg yolk, with hands, until well
blended. Chill the dough. Hea the oven to
350* F. Pinch off pieces of dough about the
size of your thumb and shape into crescents.
Place on greased cookie sheets and bake for
about 16 minutes.
Soul Cakes
1 stick (4oz) unsalted butter, softened
3 tbs sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
Cream the butter and the sugar together in
a bowl. Sift the flour into the bowl and work
until smooth. Divide the dough in half and shape
each half into circles about 1/2" thick. Place
on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes,
lower temperature to 325*, and bake for 20 minutes.
Cool, serve and enjoy!
