A Greater Concern, especially now days

on The Bus:
Increase in student violence is also a big safety factor. The heat certainly does make the students more irritable and short-tempered. In addition, I am seeing increased incidents of of verbal altercations and fights.
When there is a fight on the bus the Police are called and we have to wait for them to get there and then handle the problem.
Although police response time is excellent, everyone on the bus is forced to spend an extended period of time in the heat.
Remember, sitting still and loaded that bus temperature is probably 108 to 110 degrees.
The irritability level of the students concerns me even more after I read in the news paper that the student in one of the school shootings brought the gun to school on the school bus in his back pack. That is certainly something to think about.
