A hundred thousand welcomes!
For those
of you not familiar with the history
of the Abbey of Scone, this is the site of Robert the Bruce's
ascension to the throne
of Scotland. He was crowned King of Scotland,
at the Abbey of Scone on March 25, 1306. It wasn't until 1328 that
the pope
acknowledged the new king. He ruled another year and died on July 7, 1329
and was buried at Dunfermline Abbey.

Lochanside I know this band from the Georgia Renaissance Festival and they are awesome! I have their first two CD's and play them quite a bit. If you ever get a chance to see them, please do. You won't regret it. Ask Charles and Suzanne to play Scotland's Me Hame. It's one of their best and one of my favorites! I'm sure it'll be one of yours too.
I saw Lochanside at the Georgia Renaissance Festival the weekend of October 17th. They have a new CD out entitled "Piping Hot". It features Suzanne's incredible bagpipes and Charles' awesome drums! Visit their website for ordering information.
