Money for nothing: where's the outrage?

I was a conservative

Most people have fond memories of their high school years. I lost those years to an infection of rabid conservatism.

It came from, strangely, my rebelliousness. I was always a rebel without a cause. The difference between right and left rebellion is that the left says "There has to be a better way." while the right says "I hate this. Dammit. I hate this. Dammit. etc."

I was rejected by females, so the scapegoat was feminism. I was awkward socially and offended people, so I blamed "political correctness". Things really went downhill when I started reading SUN tabloid editorials. They gave me a way to rebel without the danger of opposing authority. By fighting against the homeless, women and children, I could snipe at someone who would not fight back, feel manly without having to actually be a man.

The editorials were aimed straight at me and hit dead on. When they showed a picture of a middle-class person protesting poverty, I believed it was proof that people spent welfare cheques on jewlery. OBVIOUSLY only people on welfare could defend it. This brings me to my next point: altruism.

High school was buzzing with honor-roll altruists who volunteered for amnesty international, reminded everyone to respect diversity, raised money for causes etc. My marks had gone downhill at this point and I felt class envy to my more educated, more ethical peers, many of whom were attractive females. Damn their moral righteousness, my Sun editorial says yer whiners! When an editorial defended body cavity searches on the grounds that the cops got no enjoyment, that was good enough for me. The thought of the probee never entered my mind.

One time in english class we were set up to debate the death penalty. We were to pretend we were at a town hall meeting and we were all citizens of somethingville. Anyway, this was a strange, underpopulated town, because 75 percent of us had family members chopped up by serial killers who escaped from prison. Others simply said "eye for an eye is in the bible" and left it at that. Myself, I tried to rationalize state lynching on the grounds of...Overpopulation. Right. A few of the honor roll types shot our "arguments" full of holes but they were easy to ignore with their big words and quiet reason.

My lowest point was when I started scapegoating diabetics. The gym teacher was one, case closed. When we were required to find a partner I was always left with a curly-haired guy who spoke funny, so he became the brunt of my homophobia. I even ranted that the phrase "tall, dark and handsome" was reverse racism! I was busted for sexual harrassment a couple of times, and now that I remember it, I was guilty and really lucked out of punishment.

I was sent to a psychologist. Damn those do-gooder nanny types. I was eventually put on prozac and I must have been one of the 15% percent of users who actually benifit from it, because my knee-jerks eventually stopped, and I discovered that a mind was good for things other than daydreaming. I was introduced to facts and statistics. Once in the realm of rational thought, leftism came naturally.

I try to think of my case as rare, but the more I come across conservatives the more similarities I see. Conservatism seems to a a defence against self-failure. I never ran my business into the ground, I was taxed to death. Feminists are plotting to keep me from getting laid. Me not stoopid, intulectual iz commy.

My recovery was helped by lots of reading and assistence from my honor-roll liberal family. I assume that the same treatment can help others afflicted with conservatism, and this gives me constant hope.

G8 drive-by shooting was planned!

Everyone has debated about the JFK assasination. Now it is time to talk about Carlo.

First of all, here are some protestors:



that the police were trying to run over with landrovers. Inside the landrovers there was no pepper spray or rubber bullets - just lead. While the peaceful protestors were running for their lives,others like Carlo were fighting to slow the police down so that the others could get away.

While the police were chasing people down, one of the vehicles "stalled". I use quotation marks because it suddenly managed to start up again - SECONDS AFTER SHOOTING CARLO. Now look at this photo:



This is BEFORE the shooting. What a strange thing to do - here you are, your car stalled in the middle of a riot, and the first thing you think is "gee, this fire extinguisher is taking up too much space, I might as well drop it in the street among rioters who are looking for things to throw..." True, it might be being thrown into the jeep in this picture, but that would still mean it would have to be thrown back out again, bring us back to square one.

Notice that police are just yards away! The shooter could have simply called for backup, or abandoned his landrover and joined the police on foot. Notice the rioters have no gas masks - a few tear gas canisters, or even a quick spray of mace from the jeep would have sent everyone back.

Notice that Carlo is not in the photo - he did not see the trap being set.

"A Carabinieri vehicle reverses over a dead protester" is the caption on the next photo by the same photographer. Whoever wrote the captions KNEW they were lying. And why the vehicle was incapable of movement before it had a corpse under it is not explained.



Now, here come the police. They did not seem to think it was worth fighting to rescue the shooter, yet here they are fighting to capture a corpse! The idea of this would be to grab the evidence - such as the fire extinguisher - that they had worked so hard to set up.

So here are my points

1. The car was deliberatly stopped where it would be attacked
2. The fire extinguisher was deliberately placed where someone would use it as a weapon
3. The moment the "mission" (find an excuse to shoot a protestor) was completed, the "stalled" car suddenly worked again,
4. The foot soldiers were there the entire time, but stayed back in order to keep the trap open. When the trap was sprung, they moved in to grab the evidence.

Suddenly the picture of a young conscript in fear for his life (yet still having impeccable aim) changes to a skilled assassin, setting a trap and patiently waiting for someone to take the bait.

Sorry about the lack of photos - the police spent an hour looting the greyhound bus I was on and the photos have gone "missing", along with my most valued personal possesions. Ever seen a BMW being combed over for an hour, the driver grilled becuase "he looks nervous" - and of course, If *I* was a druglord I would REALLY take the mother-effing BUS everywhere.(Cops admit they hate free press: "Added advantages of [more agressive tactics] include no Press presence as often [sic], they have not arrived before the situation is concluded..." A protestor who pied Prime Strangler Jean Cretien (or Poutine as shrub calls him) was sentenced to 30 days in jail. Is this sentence suffient - yes or no.

So you can answer yes, I agree with the sentence; or
No, I think he should be excecuted or something.

Remember, this guy is a HERO! The last time any protestor came this close to the PM, he got strangled (Prime Misister was not sentenced to 30 days in jail - or anything. He probably gained a few conservative votes for it, come to think of it.) This is the guy who jokes about torturing people who protest genocidal facists (pepper is something I put on my steak, he said (Note: if anyone can find an example of Cretien ever making a joke that was actually funny, I will eat my (still stinking of tear gas) shoes.) I wish I had been a cook at that restaurant: I would have put some pepper on his steak.) And you should have seen the look of psychotic rage on his cream-coated face!)

The poll came back as mostly "YES" and for added confusion remember that most people here in Calgary hate Cretien, not from the pie-throwing left, but from the sniper-rifle right. (This just in: he shared a cell with a "no" voter who introduced himself with a punch in the face. Nice to know there are conservatives in jail).

Just watched that liberal Mc-glock-klan guy on the liberal PBS, which exists because the liberal corporate media is not liberal enough:

The show is called the Mc-glock-klan GROUP, but his harem seems to exist for the sole purpose of being interrupted by the screaming grand poohbah. He looks like a consipated erectile dysfunction sufferer but most of the time the screen is showing stock footage to illustrate his point. He called the EPA "draconian" and said democrats want to ban SUVs (right, from the folks who are incapable of banning BRIBERY).

Now we finally get back to the topic - he used his MEDIA show to explain that the MEDIA is librul, and for proof he had - well, nothing really, just three or so headlines that he had to explain how to interpret. He said that the librul press was "setting Bush up to take the fall" for the actions of Bush and Cheneys own oil industry - ie, jacking up prices because their record profits are not high enough.

You see, conservatives believe in responsability. They believe that a child in poverty should be responsable for what her parents did. They believe that millions of starving third-world peasents should be responsable for what incompetent bankers and conservative dictators did decades ago, or that Iraqi widows and orphans should be responsable for what Reagan ally, flag-waving pro-law-and-order Saddam Hussien does.

But asking that THE PRESIDENT and the VICE PRESIDENT, actually be responsable for THEIR INDUSTRY, THE ONLY INDUSTRY THEY HAVE EVER WORKED IN (remember, they have never been soldiers - one is a draft dodger, the other a wartime deserter), the industry that BRIBES THEIR PARTY, that is making RECORD PROFITS...No my friends, that would be cruel. Bush cannot be held responsable, he never got a blowjob.

BTW, the liberal CTV also regularly plays ads for logging industry and-or (probably merged by now) biotech PR firms. The logging PR firms are very proud that they have made up for permanently destroying mountaintop forest by destroying prairie habitat! When CTV reported that a minister of parliament (the equivalent of a senator) was angry about being shot with a "well-restained" plastic (not rubber - PLASTIC) bullet, instead of showing the hours of footage of such incidents that happened over the fourty or so hours of solid repression, they showed the same clips of the fence coming down - an event that happened miles and more than a day away from what has being talked about. They might as well have showed up for the first two minutes and then headed home. The equivalent would be reporting on a football game with footage of a basketball game played the next day in a different stadium.

So here we are: Osama is plotting to kill thousands of Americans, we have an economy going down the drain, skyrocketing oil prices (and skyrocketing oil company profits) race riots, endless chaos in the middle east, AIDS threatening to depopulate the entire third world, and what is the man who got half a million less votes doing?

Playing ball.

And what vital information are the fearless investigative reporters uncovering?

Whatever the photo-op organizers want them to. In this case, the man who got half a million less votes playing ball with black kids.

This man who has excecuted so many young blacks, this man who is notsatisfied with only two million or so non-violent (and quite profitable) blacks in prison for the exact same "youthful indescretions" of Bush (he even chose a vice-president a man who voted to keep Nelson Mandela in jail), this man who supports the Cincinatti police for gunning downunarmed blacks, who chose a neoconfederate for his highest appointment, who supports the slaver flag, who got his brother to classify thousands of innocent blacks as "felons" to keep them from voting , does not deserve to asskissed.

These children should be at school, but then, schools in black areas are underfunded thanks to republican policy, and will soon be segredated thanks to vouchers. The FIRST (NOT the SECOND, not the THIRD) FIRST thing the republicans did when they got congress was to make sure that these exact same kids never had access to school lunches. They said it was a waste of money better spent on missiles bombs to drop on non-white nations (but NOT Yugoslavia - remember, Serbians are WHITE, like the nazis, who republicans also wanted to avoid war with. They have supported EVERY other war, EVERY one of which has been against non-whites.)

If one of those black kids playing baseball started taking drugs, driving drunk, and deserting in wartime, would republicans support him for president?

Even if one of those black kids was lucky enough to inherit a vast fortune that came directly from the nazi death camps (as in the case of the Bush family, a family that always returns a favor) I doubt it.

Oh, I forgot, This is not CIVIL and we have to be CIVIL because Bush never got a blowjob. At least, we never saw 50 million taxpayers dollars spent digging under every rock, repeating every rumour, only to find out that the absolute worst thing ever done in the mans life was to get a blowjob.

The CTV NEVER did such an buttkiss for Clinton, a man who got MORE votes than his opponent, whos aadministration had ZERO felonies after the most intense investegation ever seen, the who never sent a soldier to become KIA, who turned a record deficit into a record surplus...

Oh, but I have gotten ahead of myself. HE GOT A BLOWJOB. And people who get blowjobs do not get photo ops taken. Photo ops are only for wartime deserters who LIE about their policy, who break promises which never saved them from getting half a million less votes in the first place.

CTV will claim they are only doing what the marketplace wants. If in doubt, blame capitalism.

BULLSHIT. If sex sells, they can play the tape from the inagual ball where Bush stares at his own daughters exposed breasts. Or try investigating the leads that suggest that he murdered one of his children to cover up the fact that he raped a 15-year old girl. Or how about the videotape in which a drunken Bush downs a shooter and laughs about "boring" people who "never drink" - after claiming that he never drank a "DROP" during the time the tape was taken?

CTV is DELIBERATELY losing money to serve the Bush junta.
Vote for me - Resistence is futile So we have a province (British Columbia - no relation to the place where starving peasants are blown up by helicopter gunships for tending to their crops - no relation YET anyway) here which has nealry wiped out child poverty, made itself the best place in the nation for students with low tuition and high minimum wages.

This could not go unpunished.

Corporations simply disinvested - they took those jobs to poverty-filled, wage-slave Alberta. And people, once they had figured out how stupid they were to dare mess with the corporations, followed. Forget the FTAA for a minute - we have a race to the bottom in our own nations (oops, I mean economies).

This time, people are wiser, and are voting for whoever the corporations tell them to vote for.
Cross dressing conservatives

Get this: the Canadian "taxpayers federation" who probably store their funds in a off-shore tax shelter have been inspired by the republican cross-dress-as-someone-who-actually-works-for-a-living-while-you-make-them-pay-taxes-for-people-who-do-not tactic. These guys whine and bitch about now oppressively taxed they are, yet somehow they can scrape together enough money to hold press conferences. Janitors worry about wage inflation: next on Oprah.

Conservatives, disliking facts but not finding enough fables in the Bible, like to parrot Aesops Grasshopper and ant fable. The story is that if you see someone starving and freezing to death in the winter, it means they were jumping around like the playful grasshopper all summer while the ant was working. The idea is that the rich, who inherit money and then get more money by investing it (oh, the hard work of pushing papers) are the ants, while the people whos jobs they send to Chinese gulags are the grasshoppers.

Actually, they have a point.

When ants fight, and they fight a lot, they kill all the enemies and eat their babies. If it is necessary to the survival of the colony, ants will eat their own babies. All ants are complete slaves with no individual thought whatsoever.

A tale of two riots

Match the riots to their police responce:

A) A drunken mob including guns and street gangs murders a young man, viciously beats and molests women, and loots small businesses.

B) Protestors block streets and smash corporate storefronts.

Which response should go where:

A) Stand back, Arrest two dozen or so people and fire off a couple of rubber bullets from a distance.

B) Announce a state of emergency, arrest hundreds, send clouds of teargas through the streets, attack anything that moves.

Answer: AA, BB. Read all about it.

Actually, this is not the best example of bad priorities. How about this:

The answer is AB, BA - and the reference is to New York under Guliani. Tear gas has its time and place - but at that time and place the cops are saving it all for the protestors and immigrants.

The party of projection

The party of ballot burners needs a new name, since an actual republican would count votes. Unfortunatly, Nazi has already been taken, so we might as well stick with the Party of Projection.

Projection, aka takes one to know one, is a powerful way of gaining support from the growing inbred ignoramous demographic. For example, the party that likes to ethnically clense voting lists has decided to accuse the party that 9 out of ten blacks choose of being racist (and not anti-white racist, for once). Basically what they are saying is "we aint no racists, though 90% of blacks are too stupid to know it".

Democrats could use this strategery. We can take our weaknesses and project them on our opponents. For example:

Republicans are cruel to the rich - Republicans spoil the wealthy with handouts, destroying their work ethic and continueing the cycle of riches to rags - just look at how many billionaires have fallen on tough times and become millionaires. For decades they believed that republicans would stop this from happening, but the republicans keep the wealthy losing riches just to keep their vote. They patronize the tobacco industy and deprive them of the feeling of a job well done. Democrats believe in tough love - the rich will thank us later, when they remain rich.

The media loves us - by inflating every irrelevant rumour and lie as a way of systematically destroying anyone who dares stand up for us, they give us free publicity, and we all know all publicity is good publicity. They hate the republicans so much they refuse to even give their leader publicity for going AWOL in wartime and INHALING concaine.

While my main foes are those whos social darwinist ideaology kills 20 million or so people in the third world annually, cultural conservatives also have a way of getting under my skin. Nostalgia is not the problem - heck, I would like to marry that Rosie the rivetor character from WW2, and even the "beat your children like Kieser Wilhelms parents" thing seems tolerable to me (though I should add that my parents NEVER beat me, and I TURNED OUT FINE).

I think it boils down to the ignorance required to whine against immorality, while opposing policies used in (compare to us) goody two-shoes Europe. Gee, ya think parents would spend more time with their kids if they had a shorter work week but higher wages...NAAAAAWWWWW! Maybe they think the reason Swedes have so few out-of wedlock babies and school massacres (and yet, also no NWO takeover) is because of genetic supiority or something.

To use the republican strategy of a pointess anecdote, I just watched Sleeping Booty, or whatever that cesspool of immorality is called. THe things I saw shocked me: A character got so drunk he passed out, a couple kissed and had sex (presumably - they got married) on their first date, and a caracter died - and I saw BLOOD! Hell in a handbasket I tell you!

You seen em in the news and heard it parroted around the water cooler: kid suspented for kissing a girl, or playing with a toy gun. Total non-news, but since it slams public school teachers and liberals, it is suddenly THE HORROR...THE HORROR.

Class warfare

As any reasoning person knows, suggesting that poor people who work and rich people who do not might have different opinions and interests is CLASS WARFARE. Any attempt to lessen the gulf between classes is CLASS WARFARE.

Conservatives, those self-proclaimed class pacifists, are more guilty of class envy than anybody else. Their envy of people on welfare, who get to drive imaginary catilaics, is downright bizarre. Their attempts to make the un-unionized working class envyious of the unionized working class is another example.

Yes, I fear that soon the upper-working class will have to face the guilitune. In my city the bus drivers have gone on strike, and the current whine is about those whining (notice the projection) spoiled bus drivers who get to sit down when they work. How dare they force us to carpool. Now if they inherited billions without paying a penny in tax (as is the case in Canada) and then sent our jobs to be filled by Chinese political prisoners, no problem there.

I think that the transit union is being greedy and dumb - they are helping this whole thing a along and making a mokery of people who really need unions - ie, those in the private sector. They should stop striking for their own wages and strike for say, improving the wages of people who ride the bus, like young people in the service industry.
Feb 23: Today is do your bit to help gun control day. To help out, buy a gun, and encourage other liberals and leftists to buy guns. If enough of us do this, conservatives will suddenly discover the virtues of gun control. Or at least they might count our votes.

Al Gore is the most honest man alive.

Not that I REALLY like him, but consider that the repugs had a database of everything he ever publically said in his life, and then consider that they checked and double-checked that database for even one case of him changing his mind. The only "lies" they could find were obvious misquotes, deliberate misinterpretations, and even more obvious jokes. If everything the average man ever said in my life were put through a database and spit out, you would have a lot more - and half the population lies more than Mr. Average. If everything BUSH had ever said...Well, look at all the dirt part-time amatures have found. Imagine professionals working 24-7...
Letter to the repugthugs:

Some things liberals have done: ended slavery, gained votes for women, ended the great depression, created labor unions & the middle class majority, reduced impiralism, gained civil rights for blacks, saved the ozone layer and reduced pollution, ended apartied, etc. etc. etc.

Some things conservatives have done: demonized through the press and religious indoctrination, terrorized, arrested, lynched, and eventually lost to liberals. Every step of the way. And failed to get over it.

What a miserable existence, fighting to protect the powers and priviliges of the powerful and the priviliged. Yearning for the days of sweatshops, six-year-old coal miners, "Jews or dogs need not apply" signs, rivers that catch fire, Hoovervilles, debtors prisons, etc.etc. Especially when there are plenty of countries were such things still exist today.

Not very noble or heroic - always siding with the wealthy over the poor, white over the nonwhite, hetrosexual over the gay, the conformists over the freak, the parent over the child, the boss over the worker, the cop over the suspect, the censor over the artist, the mob over the intellectual, the army over the pacifist and the chainsaw over the tree. Especially when, inexplicably, you always lose.

Just look at the times and places when and where "less government" has had the upper hand: the beginning of the great depression and the panics, recessions and massive suffering of the guilded age, Pinochets Chile disaster, and the New Zealand catastrophe - and, for that matter, the entire third world. And look at the liberal mixed economy in charge: Western Europe (despite investment flight to more conservative places), the 1940s, 50s and 60s. Look at more religous places and times - the middle east and the middle ages - or more patriotic places and times: 1914 and Nazi Germany. I would not be able to side with such bedfellows against such enemies.

For a countercharge I see the Stalinist countries being brought up, but those are not mixed economies - they are corporate-style monopolies wiith no regulations (think of the pollution in the USSR). In such places you will find the communist party officials being the conservative, siding with the bosses over the worker, etc. etc.) So if you tell me to go to China, I say only when you kick me out of Sweden.

Another member of the fringe majority

As you already know, all liberals are on welfare can only get a job with affermative action.

Let me tell you about my stepdad. He loves Michael Moore and is quick to say he has no problem with taxes.

He was born early, has been nearly blind and deaf since birth, is obsessive compulsive, and has been bald since his twenties. He never asked for any affermative action of any kind (better than Colin Powel), never been on any welfare, and rose through the ranks from go-for to management. And is liberal. Another member of the fringe majority.

Compare this to Shrubbie and Cheney, neither of whom are skilled enough to work at McDonalds.

...That was not an idle comment. Let me explain. Watch a drive through cashier and you might be shocked to hear them say "would you like fries with that, smegface" - however, they lifted their finger off the button, meaning that the driver never heard the last bit. Now consider that BOTH Dick and Bush failed on that with their "major league asshole, big time" comment. Both are incapable of using a microphone, yet here they are playing with the nuclear button. Talk about not being ready for the information age! If Bush or Dick had been at McDonalds, they would be fired. Yet these men who are incapable of haldly burgers and fries are now running the entire world, thanks to conservative ignorance.
