For Idiots Sending Viruses.

(The notification I get from my server.)

Subject: Virus Warning

Date: Fri, 13 Sep 2002 22:29:40 +0100 (BST)

From: <administrator@mx2.myserver.net>

To: me@myserver.co.uk

The email from you@yourserver.com (or net or .co.uk etc.) (Date and Time) contains the W32/Klez-H virus (or whatever virus). We recommend that you do not open this attachment unless you have suitable virus-scanning software installed.

Having one of the best servers in the UK (and possibly the world), I get the above notification of ANY email that contains a virus. As a further point, these and other junk emails are deleted at my server so don't even reach my PC, thanks to a program called "MailWasher" that allows me to do this, AND return the crap from whence it came. This adds to the security I have from the idiots that delight in ruining the pleasure of others.

Another program that they run will not allow me to send out a virus. Pity that ALL ISP's are not so advanced. Our reading of email would then be a pleasure rather than a risk.
