About our organization:
A
group of concerned citizens have gathered together for the purpose
of protecting the former Passmore/Balabanov property
purchased by the City of Grand Forks, which is located on Granby Road
at about KM 6. This beautiful property is, in our opinion, not suited
to industrial development, reasons outlined in the "concerns" section. The proposed annexation, if successful, would set a precedent of far reaching consequences to all of us that call British Columbia home.
We selected a name
for our group, The Boundary Citizens for Responsible Land Use.

Our
groups formal mandate has yet to be defined, however, informally, it
is at this time, to protect the Passmore/Balabanov property from
industrial development, as is currently being proposed by The
Corporation of the City of Grand Forks, as well as to help the city
officials in securing (through ALR trade, etc.) suitable land for
industrial growth.
