DARIUS AMOS: SUPERSTAR

Thanks for coming to find out more about me.  In time, I will add photographs of myself so all can discover the greatness and magesty of me.  Anyway, let me start by telling you a little about myself.

I am 20-years-old (soon to be 21; I'll inform those of the magical day) and a junior at the  University at Buffalo I am a communications major with hopes of one day becoming a journalist of some sort.  I do have a tremendous business background as I started my college career as an accounting major.  However, after analyzing my interests, I disclosed that my talents were in writing.  Thus, I joined THE SPECTRUM.

The Spectrum  is the largest student-run newspaper in the SUNY system.  I am currently one of the two sports editors on staff.  Besides the newspaper, I have many other interests.  I enjoy the deep, pounding sounds of my bass guitar and the four-wheel low setting in my Isuzu Rodeo.  I also enjoy watching and playing sports.  I am a die-hard New York Yankee and New York Jet fan and am over-ecstatic that each have enjoyed successful 1998 campaigns.

My Background:  I was originally born in New York City in the Washington Heights area, but have moved since then and currently reside in Rockland County.  Rockland is just 30 minutes from NYC, so I still get the chance to visit my roots.  I have one sister and two decent parents.  I went to a Catholic elementary school for nine years and attended Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack.

Since then, I have moved on to UB and have discovered many new friends and things to do.  I also found many women who I fell in love with.  For those of you I know, you know who I'm talking about.  Anyway, that brings me up-to-date.  If you really want to know more about me, and I know many of you do, just  send me an e-mail .  I should get back to you in a matter of hours because I check e-mail like a madman.

I have to squeeze this word in. . . when you buy a beer during the month of October, make sure that it is Samuel Adams Octoberfest!

As you may tell from the page's title, I am very high about myself.  I believe that I am the greatest person on Earth and many people may hate me for that, but I don't care.  However, many things do make me put things in perspective and I get humbled easily.  I hope that sentiment makes you like me a little bit more.

That's all I have to say.  Before you exit my pages, please be sure to  Visit the Jimmy V Foundation .  I believe in the Jimmy V Foundation and one of my goals in life is to see its goals accomplished.  Thanks for reading.
