To My Fine Arts and Entertainment Page

Hello all, and thank you for uploading this fine page.  I started this page to express my interests outside of the sports world and into the world of other entertainment such as movies, television, music, arts and other fine sources of media.

Let me begin by talking about television.  I am a big t.v. buff and I appreciate quality programming.  In my opinion, the best dramatic series is definitely N.Y.P.D. Blue.  Although the cast said farewell to one of its finest (Jimmy Smits), the remaining players are extraordinary.  Other notable dramas are Chicago Hope, The Practice and The Profiler.  Among the best dramas for the younger viewers is Dawson's Creek.  I admit I am a big fan, primarily due to its cast.... particularly a beautiful actress named Katie Holmes.  Check the show out sometime.

One of the greatest comedy shows ever just recently went off the air.... Seinfeld.  Undoubtedly, Seinfeld was the funniest show I have ever seen.  It ranks along side Cheers and The Cosby Show.  Today's quality comedies include Just Shoot Me, The Drew Carey Show and Friends.  I must also give mention to The Simpsons.  Although a cartoon, The Simpsons have stood the test of time and the show just gets more clever each episode.

There are some cool things on the Seinfeld Webpage, some of which require certain plug-ins.  One of which is Microsoft Windows Media Player.  Download it now!

I am also a buff of good movies.  Don't get me wrong, films such as Airplane! and Major League are great movies, but when I imagine my ideal greatest movie, I consider films that make one think and are more realistic.  The best film I ever watched is Braveheart.  The flim captures every bit of human spirit and the struggle to acheive a goal.  Other fabulous films are The Godfather, The Last of the Mohicans, Gone With the Wind, Citizen Kane, Good Will Hunting, West Side Story, The Shawshank Redemption and Field of Dreams.  While many other films belong on such a list, some of these films may not be among the greatest of all-time.  You know what?  I don't care because that's my opinion.

Now let me speak about the music industry.  I recently saw Billy Joel in concert for the first time and now understand and appreciate the differences of music genres.  While I enjoy listening to Metallica and Tool, I also enjoy some U2 and REM.  I like a wide variety of music, which some people think is weird, but I think that that notion is a form of intelligence.  I am not narrow-minded when it comes to a type of music.  In my CD changer, I have music from Busta Rhymes to Korn to Sting.  If the music has a good sound and good composition, then I will usually like it.  Although I enjoy all types of music, my favorite artist has to be U2.  Even though their style has changed over the years and they might have sold out, the band's music talents have not changed... maybe they have gotten better.  U2 kicks arse..................

Not too many people know this, but I enjoy looking at fine arts.  Such arts include painting, sculptures and plain architecture.  I'm not just saying this to make me seem like a cultural person, I really do enjoy these things.  Some of my favorite artists are Pablo Picasso and surrealist Salvator Dali.  My main man Picasso loved to draw himself:

Another cool fine arts thing is going to Broadway.  Although I've only seen three shows in my life, I will admit that each of them were fantastic.  Check out some of these cool shows:
