Both Sides Now

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.
I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all.
Moons and Junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way.
But now it's just another show. You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away.
I've looked at love from both sides now,
From give and take, and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall.
I really don't know love at all.
Tears and fears and feeling proud to say "I love you" right out loud,
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way.
But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say
I've changed.
Something's lost but something's gained in living every day.
I've looked at life from both sides now,
From win and lose, and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall.
I really don't know life at all.
If you are wondering why I made this page...It's because sometimes you sit back and look back at your life and realize that you made mistakes that you HOPE you have learned from. A bit down the road you see that you never really learned because your zest for life, love, and happiness just makes you go on trying again despite your failures.
The brave go on, although many others never do, to the next experience encountered, hoping it will turn out to be the one that is lasting and fullfills their dreams.
For those who never give up, I give you my blessings and hope that life will treat you kind...and that before it's over, maybe you will be able to say that you have really known clouds, life, and love.
SO...I WROTE ANOTHER VERSE
To all the clouds that were in my way, I said goodbye they went away. To all the lives I've touched I pray, I shared yours on my way. For the loves I've left that cried, I left a part of me aside, and if it helps I really tried, I looked at love that way.
I'm going on, more clouds to see
Theres life out there it waits for me
Through lifes illusions I recall
When you have love, you have it all.
