Interview
The ladies men admire, I've heard,
Would shudder at a wicked word.
Their candle gives a single light;
They'd rather stay at home at night.
They do not keep awake till three,
Nor read erotic poetry.
They never sanction the impure,
Nor recognize an overture.
They shrink from powder and from paints. . .
So far, I have had no complaints.--Dorothy Parker
Changing around the me page again. Just some vital stats for you. I'll make a separate what's new page. Maybe.
Just the facts, ma'am...
- Name: Stef
- Real name: Stef (never could come up with anything spiffy)
- Location: southern New Jersey
- Occcupation: mysterious nighttime crime fighter
- Real Occupation, and Don't Get Funny This Time: Licensed Real Estate Assistant (loosely translated, I not only pick up the calls from pissed-off people, I can't foist them onto anyone else...just so we're clear, this doesn't make me bitter. Much.)
- Familial Relations: One husband, one small daughter (my angel Leah), one mother (and depsite my gripe on the first page, she's one of my best friends), 2 brothers, 3 sisters, one dad, one stepmom, 1 nephew, 3 nieces...various assorted nifty in-laws...grandparents out Ye Olde Wazoo...ok, I have a big family. Huge. My husband gets a headache figuring out the holiday logistics. We won't discuss the wedding table nightmare.
- Favorite Friends: Aaron--my very own Armand (only taller). Krista (and Steve.) Jeanette. Brandy. Penny. All of their moms. (I collect moms, I'm not sure why.) Mal (my good twin). Larissa (my evil twin). Melissa the Mighty. Twi (beloved partner in snarkiness). Christina. Devo. Methosgrrl. Every single one of these people has loved me, laughed with me (ok, or at me) and accepted me for who I am, even when I'm way out in left field. (And Jeanette's mom has also ceased thinking that I led her daughter into debauchery.)
- Favorite TV Shows: Highlander, X-Files, Buffy, Angel. I'm a couch couscous.
- Favorite Books: Can't say. I read anything I can get my hands on. For a partial list, see my books page. My collection ranges from trash to treasure, and reading is as big a necessity as breathing.
- Music: Oh yes. Of all kinds. Except for the Unholy Trinity of Vapidity (Mariah, Whitney, and Celine). I want them to die an ugly death, like having their lungs implode while they're coming down with 2 notes on "land of the free", or something. (Celine: "But why would I seeng such teengs? I ahm from Quebec, yes? And Rene would perhaps not like mee to seeng of American ansems.") Whoops. Anyway. Carry on.
- Hobbies: Reading. Movies (I love the movies by myself. Love it.) Net surfing. Home renovating. Parenthetical commentations. Ranting at length about whatever strikes my fancy.
- This Section Has yet To Be Completed. I Have To Raid Other People's "About Me" Pages To Get Some More Ideas. I'll Be Back Soon.
See how I am currently reaping the benefits of my college edjamacation.
Eh. Let's go back.
Anyone else feel sorry for Geocities?
