How can you put down in writing the way you feel about a person?
Some feelings are much too strong to be restricted to words.
I can say, I love her to pieces. But would that say that she is
my best friend...that I will always adore her...that she has
looked into my soul and not run in fear...that she has seen me
in my weakest hour and she still loves me to pieces? I
can say, He is my life. But would you know that I live and
breathe for him...that he is my soulmate and my other half...
that the core of my being aches for him...that I would give up
her friendship for his love? I can say, She is my
role model. But does that mean that I look up to her...that no one
has affected me more...that I want to grow up
"just like her"...that her approval is the only I seek? No,
I don't think it
does. And even if I could use all the words in the world--over
and over again--I could still never limit my feelings to mere
words. Because love defies explanation.

Well, I have chosen to remain a virgin until the day I marry the love of my life. It all
started out really when my parents gave me a ring on my 13th birthday, in which I made the
covenant between me and my parents, my God, my future husband and future children that I
will not have intercourse before that day. I honestly want to be able to tell my husband
and my children that I had enough love for them and self-control to abstain from something
that I really wanted to do. I want my husband to know that, even though I probably didn't
know him growing up, I saved the most precious gift that I can give just for him. Sex is
the ultimate physical expression of love....true love, not just infatuation, and I strongly
feel that society takes sex entirely too lightly. It has become just some fly-by-night
occurrance that feels right in the heat of passion, but the next morning leaves feelings of
guilt and emptiness. God created sex as that outward expression of love, in the realms of
a marriage relationship only, and anything outside of it, any perversions of it, destroys
the intention and the sacredness of the act, and, ultimately, of God. I do believe that
a "second virginity" is possible....simply vowing that from a certain point on the same as
an original committment. I just think that virginity is one of the few things left that are
needed to be kept the way they are. Yes, it is a personal decision, but I also think that
our society would be much better off and would have considerably less problems. I think that
even sex with someone you have not made the marriage committment to, even though you may love
them just as much, is wrong. Flat out wrong. If you truly love some individual THAT much,
you would respect them and yourself enough to wait. Plain and simple. The older I get, the
more I prize my virginity. Less people are virgins the older they get and I know that my
future husband, virgin or non-virgin, will love me more for who I am and for what I am giving
him. I just can't imagine MY man, the man I will live with for the rest of my life, MY man,
letting some HO touch him. No, no, no, no, no....I don't think so. Therefore, I am going
to do the same :) That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
