About Me...
Hi! My name is Robyn L. Jenkins. I play trombone in the Kauai High
School Symphonic Band, Kauai High School Jazz Raiders, and the Kauai Community
College Concert Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble, all under the direction
of my favorite band director, Mr. Larry L. McIntosh. I am also the
principal trombonist of the Hawaii Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra under
the direction of Derek Yamane and Stan Patrick Kim.
This summer, I toured Europe for almost three weeks with the Hawaii
Ambassadors of Music. We brought the music of Hawaii to London, Paris,
Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. It was a lot of fun, and I would love
to go again. Going to Europe is not your 'normal' vacation! I also
attended the Pacific Music Institute, a week-long band camp which was held
at the Pearl City Cultural Center in Pearl City, Hawaii.
Chad, Me, Marci, Tatum, Julie, and Judine in McDonald's Windsor.
Julie and I ordered ice cream cones with Cadbury chocolate flakes, and
the lady at the counter replied with a strong English accent, "We've got
no flakes!"
School is going well for me thus far and I am happy to report that
this year, none of my teachers are freaks. I for one am happy.
I play a Bach Stradivarius Custom 36KDR trombone!
