BRITON CAKE

Preheat oven to 350°F.
1 1/2 Cups unsifted all purpose flour
1/2 Cups sugar
1/2 Cup butter or margarine
8 oz. candied fruit
2 whole eggs
1 egg yolk beaten
(1 teaspoon vanilla - optional)
Grease and flour 9 inch round cake pan.
Combine flour and sugar, add butter and mash well (you can use a
mixer).
Stir in fruit and whole eggs, turn into pan.
Bake for 30 minutes.
