So many times I think of you throughout the busy day, and remember all the good times we had together. So many times, I appreciate what it means to have had a wonderful mother like you... And on your birthday, even though you are not here, I remember how really special you were. You're on my mind and in my heart. How lucky I was that God sent me to you!

MY PERSONAL ANGEL

So you believe in angels, my friend asked of me?
Of course I do! I saw mine the day I was born.
Did you? my friend exclaimed! Tell me about your angel, please.
Is it a he or she, does it have a halo or wings?

My angel is beautiful. She's warm and gentle and kind.
She has a comforting smile and her hugs last for all time.
She never judges me and she lets me stand on my own.
But when I'm sad and lonely she appears and carries me home.

I've never seen a halo over her head nor wings upon her back.
Though, she lights up the room, for she glows with love.
For, you see, my very own personal angel is none other
than my dear sweet mother.
