FLUMITRENS BRIEF INFORMATION

Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan region is served by Flumitrens,
Companhia Fluminense de Trens Urbanos, or Fluminense
Company of Urban Trains. The overall length of the routes is
264 km. Flumitrens has 127
stations and 640 cars. It carries 133
millions of passengers a year. Note that Flumitrens
operates both wide-gauge and narrow-gauge (1.000 m) lines.
