• Microbiologybytes by Dr. Alan Cann contains large numbers of videos (do you really know what corkscrew motility looks like?), tutorals, lab simulations and more. A must see.
• Baron's Medical Microbiology Textbook. YES the entire textbook, images and all!! The URL has changed (12/2/97).
• Grapes of Staph: Doc Kaiser's Microbiology Website. An excellent microbiology website. Dr. Kaiser's microbiology course and laboratory manual are fantastic for anyone wanting to know more about microbes. A must see site.
• Gary Laboratory Homepage: Need information about Viruses or are you a card-carrying Virologist and want good information from the web? Then go to this site. The links are FANTASTIC and very comprehensive. A virologist's dream! It is also a great place for people wanting to know more about viruses.
• Microbiology and Immunology Online- Dr. Hunt and his colleagues at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine have put together a wonderful Medical Microbiology and Immunology website.
• MICR 403 / MBMB 403 Medical Microbiology - Dr. Douglas F. Fix's Medical Microbiology course is excellent. His exams are excellent, interactive, and well worth your time. Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
• Microbiology Textbook- Dr. Timothy Paustian et al., at University of Wisconsin-Madison, has created a microbiology website with an enormous amount of information. Great place to start if you want an introduction to microbiology.
• Cells Alive! One of the best sites I have seen! Good general microbiology information.
• Infection Control Today- A good newletter with lots of up-to-date microbial news.
• Medscape has great review articles for infectious diseases. Really good site for physicians and those interested in medicine. You must register to get the good stuff. Registration is free.
• Microbiology 1020- Jerome Knutson, University of Minnisota Crookston, has created a good introductory Microbiology course.
• Microbiology at KU and Jack's Place: Dr. Brown has done a wonderful job of writing articles that are currently in the news and of bringing microbiology to everyone. 
• Mycology Online: Fungal Jungle: 500 high quality digital images downloadable as powerpoint slides covering the clinical and mycological features of most pathogenic fungi encountered in the world. 
• Infectious Diseases (Chamberlain and Tritz), and Medical Microbiology (Tritz) lectures at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
• List of Bacterial Names With Standing in Nomenclature If you want to know the currently accepted name of a particular bacterium this is the place to go.

• New York Department of Health's Fact Sheets on Diseases: About 50 different diseases of humans are described at this site. A good site to get information about a particular disease.

• University of Wisconsin-Madison; Department of Bacteriology: This website contains a large amount of information on bacteriology. It also contains some good information on cell structure.

• Microbe.info- contains many links of interest in microbiology as well as links to interesting articles in microbiology.
• The World Lecture Hall This site contains links to many courses from accounting to microbiology to medicine to zoology.
• Peter Large's Website has some wonderful microbiology links with good sites listed. You can also subscribe to and submit research articles to the World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology.
