Section 4 - TROPOSPHERE FEATURES - DO THIS PAGE OR THE PREVIOUS PAGE

On the following weather map:

  1. Draw arrows to show the direction of winds around a high pressure area.
  2. Draw arrows to show the direction of winds around a low pressure area.
  3. Label the Continental Polar air mass.
  4. Label the Maritime Tropical air mass.
  5. Below the map, draw a cross section (side view) along the white line through the High and the Low. Include in your cross section (1) the surface, (2) the Tropopause, (3) the location of the High and (4) the Low, (5) where air is rising, (6) where it is sinking, (7) where the clear weather is, (8) where the cloudiness probably is,  (9) where the air is flowing horizontally over the surface and (10) in the upper troposphere,
Then describe what weather we had here in CT on that day and why we had that weather.
