The SU-33 FLANKER-D (stovl= short take-off vertical landing)is actualy a navalised version of SU-27
it has folding wings and arrester hook as well as a reinforced landing gear.

History---
   development began 1976 based on production of SU-27
   first flew on 1984 the it was called the SU-27k(k-karablevniy
   = ship based) the production began at 1990 ,deliveries began
   1991 , initial operation capability 1992.
Armament---
   one 30mm gun 120 rds ,four under-wing AA-10,R-73 or R-77
   air-to-air missiles ,Kh-31 A/P(AS-17 'Krypton') or Kh-25(AS-12
   'Kegler') and 4,500kg Kh-41(3M80 Moskit:mosquito) anti-ship
   missiles, 500 kg bombs, rockets or 23mm gun pods.
