Censored interview at IBA -
Israel Broadcasting Authority
Eitan Almog, director of the Reshet Aleph channel of the IBA,
forbade broadcaster Edna Pe'er from hosting Yoel Tzur on her weekly show
during Chanukah. |

Ita and Ephraim Tsur ![]() |
Yoel Tzur, Technical Manager of Arutz-7, lost his wife Ita and
his son Ephraim in a terrorist attack outside Beit El last year at Chanukah.
|
The official explanation for the show's cancellation was stated as stemming from "technical" reasons, but Edna Pe'er herself denied this claim. In a letter to Tzur, she wrote that she will not broadcast
her show at all next week, in protest of the decision, and that "the
ugly winds blowing in our country are prevalent here as well." |

It seems that the real reason for preventing the interview of Yoel Tsur is a political reason: Tsur is a well known right-wing radio operator and his great behavior after his personal tragedy when he losed his wife Ita and one of his sons Ephraim (hy"d) could have bring sympathy to the right-wing movement.
