WORKERS SOLIDARITY FEDERATION:
WHAT WE BELIEVE
AGAINST CAPITALISM AND THE BOSSES
Society is divided into two main groups- the working class (workers
of all grades, their families, rank and file soldiers, the
unemployed, and the rural poor) and the tiny ruling class
(capitalists, generals, professional politicians and top officials).
The two classes are locked in a class war.
We oppose capitalism because it is based on exploiting and
oppressing the workers and the poor. The State (judiciary, government
bureaucracy, police force, parliament etc.) is a tool of capitalism
and the bosses.
AGAINST WOMEN'S OPPRESSION AND RACISM
We oppose all oppression: racism, sexism, imperialism,
environmental destruction, discrimination against gays and lesbians.
We oppose any divisions within the working class. A working class
united will never be defeated!
APARTHEID BUILT CAPITALISM
The bosses promote oppression to exploit and rule the working
class. Racism was developed to justify slavery, colonialism, and
apartheid -capitalism. It was a way to super-exploit Black workers
and divides the working class to keep the bosses in power. Apartheid
built capitalism
ONLY THE WORKERS CAN FREE THE WORKERS
This authoritarian, racist, capitalist society can only be
overthrown by working class revolution. Only the workers and the poor
can create a free society because only they have the power, will,
numbers and class interest in overthrowing this system.
ONE ENEMY, ONE FIGHT- WORKERS UNITE!
Racism and women's oppression is the product of capitalism and
the bosses State. They can only be ended by workers struggle and
socialist revolution. At the same time, the workers struggle can
only win if it is anti-racist- and anti-sexist - the working class
can only be united and mobilised on the basis of fighting all forms
of oppression. Racism and sexism are against the interests of all
workers.
REVOLUTIONARY TRADE UNIONISM
The working class revolution cannot come through the State.
The economic disaster and political tyranny of the Marxist-led Soviet
Union shows this clearly.
Socialism must come from below through mass action.
The trade unions must take over the land and the factories and
put them under direct workers control.The trade unions must be under
workers control, committed to revolution and united as One Big Union.
The revolution must be international because capitalism is
international.
REAL FREEDOM, INTERNATIONAL SOCIALISM
The future non-racial society we aim at -working-class democracy/
libertarian socialism- will be based on grassroots worker and
community councils, defended by a workers army.
We want a society without bosses, rulers and oppressors of any
description. We want a democratic economy under the direct control of
the working class. We are anti-authoritarian: the only limit on
individual freedom should be that it does not remove the freedom of
others.
THE AIMS OF THE WSF
The WSF does not stand in elections. The WSF is not a trade
union. The WSF does not aim to take State power. The WSF is an
organisation for militants who aim to encourage the self-activity and
political consciousness of the mass of the people -the workers and
the poor- so that they can make the revolution for themselves. Our
role is to promote the struggle, but in the end, only the workers can
free the workers!
Tomorrow is built today. We support all struggles against
oppression. We support the progressive student movement We support
existing trade unions, but fight for workers control, a revolutionary
programme, and the formation of "One Big Union".
A FIGHTING TRADITION
We proudly stand in the mass tradition of libertarian
socialism (anarcho-syndicalism). Our movement has historically
attracted millions world wide, because it serves the needs of the
workers and the poor, not the power-seekers and exploiters. Today it
is growing on all continents.
