CLOSING DOWN HOSPITALS

Crown Land + No public Input

The site of the General Hospital occupies crown land that was deeded to the citizens of Calgary to be used as a hospital in perpetuity. When this site is no longer used for a hospital it will revert to the federal government. Calgarians have never been given the opportunity to voice their concerns as to the use of this site. Most Calgarians agree that a downtown hospital is desperately needed on the present site it now occupies. Why has the federal government not become involved in this issue, since it is federal land?
