WHOSE HERITAGE IS IT ANYWAY?
All over the world governments are restricting the right
of people to search, own and collect all manner of items loosely labeled
cultural property. Who prompts them to take such unjust
and indefensible actions? Sadly, these campaigns are
lead by well meaning academics and conservationists! Their
initial idea is to conserve the past for the benefit of ordinary people
and to protect the environment from the ravages of progress.
Because they do not have much knowledge of the real world, because they
do not understand basic human nature and because they feel (without any
justification), that they should be the sole arbiters of what we should
own and where we should be allowed to spend our leisure, they are destroying
the very things they claim to be aiming for! Who will respect
public property, if they cannot have private property?
Who will care about the great outdoors, if their access to it is restricted?
Who will visit museums and galleries, if they are not allowed private collections.
STOP THE ROT NOW

who want our grandchildren to enjoy the freedom held dear by our grandparents.
