This person on my Flame 'n Rant page (aka Whiddaw@aol.com, aka LoCoThUgS@aol.com, etc...) threated to rape the president of my fan club, dissed a lot of the fan members in the club and tried to force me off my current club and on to his club.

Did you experience trouble with Puritans?: Kinda

Although I haven't gotten any flames or other such nonsense from those Puritans of the internet yet, I did feel threatened about what I posted on my site the *entire* time I was located at geocities, and had to turn down a couple of people who wanted me t post wierd stories on their site because of their guidelines on adult content. I think it's silly that I had to have headaches about what I put up on a page that's supposedly mine when they can come and delete it at any second if they don't like it or i it offends their delicate sensibilities. It seems to me that if a page is yours, you should be allowed to put whatever the heck you want on it, whether it offends people or not. I also don't see why, if you warn people, they still feel like they have a ight to complain about it. If they don't like it they don't have to look at it. However, it's just not right to tell people they can't put something up just because they don't agree with it. After all, last time I checked, there was a thing called the irst Amendment-- not that geocities, AOL, or any of those infamously censoring organizations would know much about that, apparently!

My run-in with the online puritans of the world occured with the hosts of my now dead site, geocities. They deleted my entire site because of my story "Home Alone", and gave me all of an hour between the warning and actual deletion. I didn't even get a hance to remove my story and keep my site thanks to the uptight puritanistic prudes that run geocities!

Hello. This is Robert Silvers, one of the co-founders of this page. Seth and I intend this site to be a place to fight back against Puritanism in all it's forms. Whether it be Newt Gingrich, Pat Robertson, or any other long-winded, hypocrite. Seth has been flamed by people like this via e-mail, and I have been flamed countless times in chat. Well, no more, damn it! We have decided to fight back! So join us, and stand up for your American freedoms!

I think that Puritans are the greatest obstacle to creativity in this world. They impose their own irrational, stifling morés on other people, which is wrong, and contributes to a general mediocrity of society. Puritans also know no other viewpoints besid s their own. Such people do not care about other people that they oppress, they just want to feel powerful inside, or want to "get back" at society for their own oppression.
