DENVER FAMILY

With between 15 to 30 members at it's strongest, the Denver Family was founded by Giuseppe Roma, and he ruled 1931-1933. He was considered a Mustache Pete. Charles Blanda ruled till the end of prohibition, and there after the family fell apart till 1968. It was picked back up by Vicenzo and James Colletti and they ruled till 1972. Joseph Spinuzzi took over for the brothers and ruled for the next three years. Eugene and Clarence Smaldone ruled from 1975-1992. Making money on gambling, loansharking, and narcotics. The FBI had been watching them closely for awhile. They were put away for loansharking in 1983. Eugene Smaldone died at the age of 81. Clarence died at 91.
