The top 20 things I miss (or don't miss) about Love Boat is...
20.
Bargaining with the street vendors for amounts less than US$1. (You
cheapskates know who you are)
19. The
big ass cockroaches at Ocean University and those damned big red spots
from the mosquitoes.
18.
The NET. (It falls through the GAP and gets caught by the NET)
17.
The phrase "No name tag, no service!"
16.
Going down the elevator from the 10th floor and laughing at people trying
to get in from the 8th floor and below.
15.
The French connection with their World Cup celebration at 5:00 am in the
morning. (no offense to the French, its all cool)
14.
The stomach aches and diarrhea from eating out at the Ye Se (night market).
13.
The little children with their laser guns, especially in the auditoriums
and everywhere else.
12.
Xiao Hei, or for those who can't read pin yin, "Little Black" referring
to the little black dog at Ocean University.
11.
The crazy taxi cab drivers with their little helicopter air fresheners
(I've now got two in my car).
10. The
3 toned alarm sound that goes off before any announcement, no matter where
you are.
9.
The guy with the fannie pack and the girl with the wings.
8.
The squatting toilets at Ocean University and the french fries and chips
for breakfast at Chien Tan.
7.
The boring ass lectures on Taiwan, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
6.
The trips to the amusement parks, which have nothing to do with Taiwanese
culture.
5.
The community dinners where everyone shares the same dishes... and the
same diseases. (Blame it on those with no etiquette who pick at the food
with their chopsticks)
4.
The drunken nights at KTV.
3.
All the mandarin we've learned in our Chinese classes.
2.
Seeing the SPICE boys at Kiss: La Boca
1.
Most importantly, the long lasting friendships we've made from the trip.
