How I'd Like Deep Space Nine To End
It's pretty likely that DS9 will end about Stardate 52995.3.

What could ever close DS9? How about this:

With the Dominion War over and the opposite side of the Wormhole sealed permanently (It's still a Celestial Temple, but no a wormhole anymore), DS9 settles back to a unimportant space station. Traders no longer pass through all the time. It is no longer a vital strategic position.

The war is over, but the Romulans have held onto all the territory that they took from the Dominion, including much Federation, Klingon, and Cardassian territory. A tense cold war has already begun. The Federation Council has approved aid for the crushed Cardassian people who are tired of war.

Bajor enters the Federation and Deep Space Nine is moved back into orbit and renamed Starbase 437. Kira is handed her Captain pips at the signing and Odo immediately changes his uniform. Sisko is offered command, but elects to leave, as Captain of the Defiant, now on active duty. He leaves the station in the able hands of Captain Kira Nerys. Worf leaves with Sisko as the 1st officer of the Defiant. They are headed to the Romulan border to serve patrol duty. Nog heads back to Starfleet Academy. Bashir, Jake, and O'Brian elect to remain on Starbase 437.

The final scene would be Captain Sisko looking out at DS9 in orbit of Bajor (like when he first saw it) and then turning to his helmsman and giving the order to jump to warp.
