Reagan, Eureka and the 1950s





In 1955, the centennial anniversary of the founding of Eureka College, Reagan returned to the delight of students and alumni during homecoming weekend.

Reagan returned to Eureka two years later (1957) for the 25th anniversary of his graduation.  (The text of his speech is available here.)  He was also given an honorary doctorate from the college.
