Faster Pussycat, faster!

So it doesn't work. So far I have thrown $170 dollars at increasing the speed at whcih I access the internet. No go. New modem - drops out constantly. High capacity uarts - no discernable difference. Old modem - slow but reliable at 14400. Frustrated? Really.

Nancy is delving deeper into self, and churning up more and more deep dark stuff. It's hard going at the moment and she's suffering terribly. I really feel for her, and hope she is going to be well. I feel constrained by working, and by being so far away. If she was still where they used to live, I could see her at lunch time and on the way home - keep an eye on her like, but she's so far now that I can't.

It seems I have created a monster. Ms Sooshie is now well and truly addicted to the realms of the internet. Yay!! Maybe if I set up a 0055 number for her to ring I might start making some money on the *free* helpdesk support I've been providing.

The routine. Still bothering me. I don't have one. I can't seem to get one. I want one, I want one! It seems as though my clock is 22 hours or 26 hours, and I just keep getting out of sync with the rest of the waking world. Coupled with that, is my 3 week cycle thing that I've got going. It goes a little something like this....Week 1 - able to get up early, full of energy, great attitude, efficient and timely. Week 2, get up a little later, slugish and lazy - word du jourcan't be bothered. Week 3 sleep alarmingly late, meander (late) to work, apathetic to the point of coma. The problem is multi-dimensional, and spans more than just the obvious. The biggest problem is that Week 3 can last anywhere from a week to - well god only know's how long. I'm due for a Week 1 as we speak. That I am sitting here and typing this and fixing up my pages, and dowloading software and stuff, may indicate that a Week 1 is on the way.

I visited a local shopping centre type thinger with my Mother today. All went well. We did not fight or sulk. She did not lecture or harp. I listened and behaved well. It went well. I spent a long time in a book shop in their geography section lusting after some maps. I wanted desperately to buy a map of New York (Manhattan and boroughs) and one of the upper eastern states including New York state, Vermont etc. But I didn't. As I was walking out of the shop - even though I was still trying to decide which one to buy, I knew I should have at least bought one of them. I have been spurred to investigate the map issue further, and enquire at the most reputable map shop in Melbourne as to the availability of good quality maps of these areas.

Scott and his friend Adrian are in the other room, clearing up after dinner. Adrian is a friend of Scott's who is quite trendy and stylish, who gets along with S really well. I am in here typing this - desperately wanting to fart!

Resolutions for the coming week:
      Be more organised.
      Cook a meal each night.
      Update my journal regularly.
      Keep in touch with Nancy.
      Try to get some exercise.
Don't call the pregnant lady at work "The Pregnant Lady" each time I address her.

The end.
