Dog Days

Dog Days

Successfully evaded the Christmas Day lunch with both families. Saw my family on Xmas eve, it went ok. Best present was from my Mum who went all credit card consumer this year and bought us all expensive perfume and electrical items as presents. Bad luck, all she got from me was a plate I'd made in my ceramics class.

Spent xmas day at work. All by my lonesome for 10 hours, answered three calls, two from drunken revellers who'd lost their credit cards and one from an old lady who wanted to use our shopping service, but really just wanted to chat.

With an hour to go Scott showed up, with a doggy bag of xmas lunch - hey mum your turkey was yum! He brought up my presents that he'd collected from the various family gatherings he'd called in on during the day. Hmmm, towels, soap, bath salts, giant sponge - is someone trying to give me a message here? Other crap included a 1.25m high (4(ish)foot) blow up *Mr Blobby* thing. With the message from Scott's brother in law that *Mr Blobby* is our love child. Hmmm, well go figure why I keep away from xmas at their house.
