HOCKEY TALK
hosted by: Joe Noris with Bryan Main

HOCKEY TALK is a live, one-hour, radio talk show presented SATURDAY evenings at 6 PM on AM 1170
Talk KCBQ. A call-in format hosted by Joe Noris & Bryan Main. HOCKEY TALK provides insight and
information about the hockey that is played in Southern California (Both Roller and Ice). Our
line up of guests include team owners, league executives, high level coaches, head referees,
trainers, equipment manufacturers, rink owners, and many other top individuals who add their
perspective and point of view.

Joe Noris' hockey experiences include leaving his home in Denver, Colorado at age 16 to play in
the Canadian junior leagues. Scoring his first NHL goal with the Pittsburgh Penguins when only
19 years old. Playing for Team USA in the 1976 Canada Cup (now the World Cup) and playing in a
WHA all-star game on the same line with Gordie Howe. Joe brings his wealth of hockey knowledge
to the show.

Joe is the only player to have played for the San Diego Gulls, Mariners and Hawks in the 1970s.
He was the assistant coach for the USIU college ice hockey team in the 1980s and welcomed hockey
and the Gulls back in 1990. In 1990 Joe became President/CEO of the San Diego Barracudas and
played for the national champion San Diego Hosers in 1996. He has called San Diego home for
over twenty years and is happy to provide Southern California's hockey community a forum to Talk
Hockey.

Bryan Main is a native San Diegan who spent the off seasons skating in Canada. He accepted a
hockey scholarship to play for Northern Arizona University under the direction of former NHL &
WHL player Jimmy Peters. Bryan is a twenty-one year radio veteran who began his career as the
hockey play-by-play voice for the NAU Lumberjacks. He covered Gulls Hockey on television in
1990-'91 on the San Diego Cable Sports Network and was the public address announcer for the
Gulls and Barracudas through the 1995-'96 seasons.
