Meet fellow hockey fanatics from around the WCHL

Come to San Diego, for a weekend of hockey-themed activities. We'll have a Maniac Mixer in our Penalty Box where everybody gets to flaunt their team's colors, then maybe hit the historic Gaslamp Quarter for a little local nightlife. After a continental breakfast the next morning, we'll begin a series of meetings in the Locker Room were we'll share ideas about each Booster Club's activities, discuss future conventions and pick a site for WESCON 2000. We'll have an Intermission trade show where you can wheel and deal your wares or pick up hockey memorabilia from other clubs. The Show, of course, will be our banquet dinner, then get ready for Sudden Death Overtime in the Penalty Box for Survival Night. On Sunday, we'll say good-bye to our new-found friends after brunch or some group activity.

Summer in San Diego

Pricing is still being worked out, but full WESCON packages will start at $200 per person (double occupancy), which will include your hotel for two nights, light dinner and drinks at the Maniac Mixer, an official convention T-shirt, one continental breakfast, and banquet dinner. The Quality Resort (875 Hotel Circle South) will be our Arena for the weekend. It is located in Mission Valley -- just minutes from San Diego's most popular sites and attractions, such as Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. In addition, San Diego offers numerous museums, over 70 golf courses, miles of white sandy beaches, and nearby shopping. Extra nights will be available at a special group rate if you wish to extend your vacation in San Diego.
