Jonathon's medium to long term GOALS and other details...always under construction!!!...last major update July 2004. page

Some goals, things I would like to do;
1. Obey more and grow closer to my Creator and Redeemer more.

2. Marry a woman who would be strongly supportive, encouraging to me in the chasing of the goals listed here (and I would need to be to hers...), and able to actively share in many of them (and vice-versa), is able to enjoy running and/or cycling and/or racewalking for at least 30min or longer, and if she likes swimming and/or hiking etc thats even better...(see my me page, and runswim page), Most importantly, she MUST have a strong relationship with the Christ as a true committed christian. This is not negotiable! She should be able to be happy following my lead in an active contributing way and willing to make an effort to share** in most things I like to do...she should try and accept me as I am and when possible encourage me to do what is right ...(and vice versa?) I think I strongly prefer a woman who is a never-married virgin like me, although I might consider one who was widowed, or made some mistakes when young as an unmarried single. I do not! want to take on someone elses kids. There are other things that would probably be attractive, helpful, required, but I think that covers most of the important things. On most of these things I would be open to discussion and negotiation, but I have written them for reasons developed over several years so I dont think I would be in a hurry to change them....Its when I am being the man God wants me to be, and she is being the woman God wants her to be, the rest WILL all work out really well!!! because God will be directing it, and binding us together. So if we are both actively putting into practice a strong commitment to God and also choose to commit to each other as best friends, thats when things should go well, and agonising over criterion wont be much of an issue... ........
**e.g. a woman I can share smoking cigarettes with might be nice too, although I hope to do some kicking at least some of the time, and I would at the very least want us both to make an effort to be considerate and responsible...)
Note; Although nicotine has been a significant (and in many ways, very! enjoyable! ) part of my physiology for over 5 years, (and may continue to be) I have always been totally anti-drugs, and always a non-drinker and plan on staying that way...I can tolerate people who drink responsibly, but anything beyond that, at the very least; really annoys me!

Drunkenness is clearly sin/not pleasing to God, and so is deliberately, losing control of the mind/body to illegal drugs! Both can kill the user, and often innocent people caught in the crossfire, when someone makes this mistake on just one occasion. What a waste of the beautiful gift of life God has given. Both illegal drugs and drunkenness are (and always have been), certainly things I want nothing to do with, and I am strongly against.
So, even though I like smoking, I view my smoking with caution, for many reasons; One reason is because I know there are many risks involved, (some of which are life threatening, and some of which are similiar to those encountered by excessive/addicted coffee drinkers,or obese people, ---I am an occasional coffee drinker but not! a regular one....), and try to counteract the negative effects, for example by maintaining a daily exercise training program...(although I have many reasons to train much better than just that)...Another reason is the need to not lead others astray or discourage them from doing good, although to some extent that is their responsibility, not mine.
I might die of cancer, I might die in a car accident, only God knows for sure.
....I might be wrong, I might be right, one day we will all know for sure....!......."your world of black and white is surreal"...there are some things which are absolutes, but some are shades of grey...but, there are consequences of our wrong choices, one thing is for sure;
....we are all sinners, IN NEED of the saving mercy, forgiveness AND direction/authority/rulership of the Christ
Note that John the baptist, and Daniel are some of the examples of people God had special work to do, and were commanded not to drink alcohol, or chose not to, for good reasons....and of course proverbs says things like; it is not for kings to drink, lest they forget what they are supposed to be doing...etc.

I have often over many years been interested in developing a genuine exclusive relationship with some appropriate woman, and have learnt a fair bit, and often enjoyed some good friendships with various women, but I think the only time a woman has ever definitely agreed to an ongoing exclusive relationship was on the ***the 4th May-8th July2000 when I reached a definite agreement with c
Special memories for me there!,***
***My best friend in 2001 was pretty special too, I learnt from her, and was greatly encouraged by her at a time I really needed encouragement....she will probably always be someone I at least would like to stay in touch with. Special memories there too!***

In the future, I hope to continue to improve in relating to women and find lasting happiness in this area according to what God wants for me there...????
I think some of the important things is to concentrate on learning to be a man who puts into action what God has taught me more, and to have a genuine interest in getting to know, and caring about others...God is like karl malone is supposed to be, in that; "He delivers!" (and much better stuff, and more so!...) "For physical training is of some value but godliness has value for all things--1 Timothy 4:8" Dont want to live for temporary stuff that doesnt last, want to live for the Christ...."you dont know what to do with life, just give it to Christ--scaterd few"

See who's visiting this page.

The Change factor; While on the one hand we are fearfully and wonderfully made and our value comes from the Creator Triune, as a Christian I am engaged in a continual struggle to be mastered by the Christ, and His purposes, rather than a slave to my own stupid, arrogant selfish temporary desires...
