***noteworthy; Scott Hollaway (WARWC member) represented Australia in the World Junior Championships 10km Walk in Kingston; Jamaica 2002.
****noteworthy Michael McCagh (RWCWA) selected for the World Youth Championships; July 10-13, 2003 in Sherbrooke, Canada.

Michael's selection in the U/20 10,000m Walk follows hard on the heels of his ***SILVER*** medal in the U/18 3000m Walk (12min 59) in Sydney March 23, 2003,
and his BRONZE medal in the U/20 10,000m Walk (47min 22) in Brisbane April 3, 2003.


Michael McCagh's 46min 03 in the 2003 State U/20 10,000m Walk championship joins the list of WA Juniors in the last decade or so to post sub 50min 10,000m Walk efforts.
Others include;
--Jonathon Phillips(49min 53 as an u/18 in 1992, and 48min 28 as an U/20 in 1993)....
--Christian Bone...(set new state U/20 records about 46-47min? in the mid 1990's.)
Scott Hollaway....(with a P.B. under 44min?, the Gold medal in Brisbane on 12th April 2002 in 46min 18, and selection for the World Juniors in 2002, easily the fastest so far as a West Australian.)
A former RWCWA athlete; Jon Gawley moved to NSW, and won the Australian U/20 10,000m Walk in Melbourne in March 1999 in the sizzling! time of 42min 11. See here...

The best of the WA Women was Aleyna Narbey who represented Australia twice as a Junior in the 1980's?.
