1. That correct uniform and practices for all events, particularly championship events be enforced, and organisational weaknesses in the area of liability and elsewhere be identified and dealt with.
2. That the Mt Henry 2x2km relay format, or some other format such as a handicap event, be repeated at an appropriate time of the year as a "come and try day" as the focus of a united attempt by both clubs to promote themselves to several large WALAA centres, and schools athletes.
3. That administrators continue to ensure opportunities exist for (a) all members to input into decision-making, and (b) share duties such as timekeeping and recording.
4. That the two clubs do not merge but develop strong autonomous identities and programs.
5. That the currently existing rivalry between the WARWC and the RWCWA be fostered, not as a destructive, malicious, vindictive weapon, but as a healthy, constructive spur by introducing a perpetual trophy to compete for at a few selected interclub events.
6. That the coaching and development of athletes continue as it has to produce depth and higher performance levels.
7. That a biannual newsletter, and optional address(e-mail and snail-mail) directory of all members be developed and circulated for each club.
8. That a system of financial assistance for appropriate junior athletes continue to be developed if possible.
9. That an ongoing program of training judges, coaches and administrators be promoted amongst the clubs aggressively in consultation with groups like AthleticA, Athletics Australia, WALAA and possibly veterans club groups in the medium term time period.
10. That a transfer fee similar to what applies with AthleticA clubs, be paid to the secretary or treasurer of the WARWC or RWCWA whenever an athlete chooses to change racewalking clubs.
11. That a S.W.O.T. (Strengths Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats etc) analysis or something similar be applied at least annually by the committee to evaluate the performance of the club, and be distributed to a database of all club members.
12. That where it is possible, it is constructive, and it is appropriate coaches and parents be encouraged without coercion to refrain from being walk judges if and when their children, or athletes they are the primary coach for, are racing in State Championship events, or special WARWC/RWCWA interclub events, so as to avoid any potential conflict of interest which could arise at major events.
13. That one (or two) athletes representative/s be nominated and appointed as a member of the committee for each racewalking club. Where possible a male and female athletes representative (i.e. four representatives for two clubs) should be chosen at the A.G.M. The athletes representative role would be to gather information from all the athletes in their club regarding any concerns or suggestions they might have, and represent the combined interests of the athletes on decisions made by the committee, anonomously if requested to.
Some suggestions for requirements for someone to be elected athletes representative; (i) at least 2 years involvement in WA racewalking clubs, (ii)at least 18 years of age in the year they are elected, (iii)a current member of a WA racewalking club and/or an AthleticA club, and (iv) Has represented WA at some form of National Championship as a racewalker at least once.
